Adding a feed to Google Listen from BrowserI’m sure everyone by now knows I’ve recently purchased an HTC Hero. Google Listen is a podcast application for Android phones, much like what iTunes on the iPhone offers, which is sorely lacking on the Android. Google Listen allows you to search for podcast within itself and subscribe to them. But most podcasts I listen to aren’t searchable from Google Listen. But I finally found out how to add your favourite podcast feeds into Google Listen.

For Tech65‘s 65bits podcast, go to http://feeds.feedburner.com/65bits from your Browser and a popup will appear asking you whether if you want to complete action using the Browser or Listen. Select Listen and this podcast will be added to your subscription. Awesome! Do the same for DigressCast, with http://feeds.feedburner.com/DigressCast and you’ve subscribed to 2 great podcasts.

Chey. I thought you finally found a way to make the podcast searchable on Google Listen. :P

When I open up the 65bits feed from my browser, it just shows text… doesn’t prompt me with any pop-up asking to open in Listen. Any idea what’s going on?

Hmm, not too sure. The latest Google Listen allows you to add a feed url directly in Google Listen itself.

Press the “Menu” button while in the main screen of Google Listen and select “Add”. It will prompt you for a feed url.

    use google.com/reader.

The reader lists your subscriptions for ‘listen’.
