It isn’t very easy to find these things out, and I happen to travel to Narita International Airport quite often, so this is good information for me and maybe you to look out for when you need it.
So, what do you do when you lose something at Narita International Airport?
Step 1: Did you lose it on the plane?
If yes, contact your airline’s lost and found office. OR better still, go directly to one of the airline information counters at Narita International Airport itself. That will get you a faster response than through email or calling. Remember to have your airplane ticket or details of your flight ready.
Step 2: Did you lose it at the passport control area before going through customs?
If yes, contact the following – Terminal 1: 0476-32-6049 (Weekday 8:30 to 17:00) OR Terminal 2: 0476-34-2157 (Weekday 8:30 to 17:00)
Step 3: Did you lose it around the Narita International Airport?
If yes, contact the Narita Airport Service Center – Terminal 1: 0476-32-2105 (Weekday 8:00 to 20:00) OR Terminal 2: 0476-34-5220 (Weekday 8:00 to 20:00).
Step 4: All lost items will usually end up at the Narita Airport Police Office.
Contact the Narita Airport Police Office at 0476-32-0110 (Weekday 8:30 to 17:15).
If you’re in doubt, feel free to approach ANY information counter at Narita International Airport and they will do their best to help you, giving you every information you need, and even calling the appropriate telephone numbers for you.
Yes, that’s why I love Japan.
