QRBoards provide customized digital ads with interactivity and targeted content benefiting both consumers and advertisers. Such benefits can be instantaneous, for example consumers can download a coupon and redeem it immediately, they can also locate the closest store for samples, register events in their calendar and share brand promotions and tips on social media.

QRBoard is a new way of advertising making its way in public restrooms and lift lobbies to engage people by letting them scan the embedded barcode – known as QR code. QR code use is established in countries like Japan and has been very well received in Singapore with its tech savvy population.

313@somerset is the first mall in Singapore to provide interactivity at this level. MOSAIC plans to expand the number of QRBoard in Singapore to other lifestyle venues including malls, museums, shopping centres, restaurants, clubs and other public venues. Starting in August, MOSAIC MediaHouse will operate 27 QRBoards all over 313@Somerset – in the restrooms (16), the lift lobbies (8) and in standing areas (3).

If you do come across them, do let me know and share your experiences with consuming these advertisements.

Yuki Naruse, a Babson college alumni and Tokyo-raised 22yo guy attending Waseda University, just started his tour to meet entrepreneurs and nomad workers all around the globe. Termed the Nomad Project, Yuki intends to study the Nomad Business Person and entrepreneurs, gaining valuable insights on the concept of entrepreneurship and global career. The lessons he learnt will be shared with his peers back in Japan, convincing them to expand their horizons.

The concept of a Digital Nomad is someone who uses technology and the internet to work remotely—from home, the coffee shop, internet cafe, or even to collaborate remotely with teams anywhere in the world.

Yuki is currently in Singapore for  few days interviewing these Digital Nomads, so if you do meet him do say hi and share your experiences working everywhere all around Singapore without being restrained by a desk.

Check out updates of his travels and experiences:
