As part of it’s Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations this year, VivoCity hopes to gather as many signatures from participants to create a new Singapore record for The Most Number of Signatures on a Lantern on 10 September at the Amphitheatre on Level 3. The giant lantern measuring 3m in height and 1.5m in breath will be lit to mark the momentous occasion and illuminate the Sky Park beneath the full moon of the Mid-Autumn till 12 September.

Shoppers are encouraged to be part of this meaningful event to celebrate the time-honoured tradition by registering their interest at any of the Customer Service Counters at VivoCity from 12 August to 10 September.

The first 1,500 participants with an entry pass will receive complimentary goodie bags filled with attractive shopping vouchers and a unique lantern on the day of the event. They will also be treated to a variety of entertaining performances and games. On top of that, participants will get a chance to win attractive prizes worth more than S$15,000 at the event by participating in a lucky draw with their entry passes.

The Nokia 500 is available from the third quarter of 2011 in black, quickly followed by the Nokia 500 white at the end of the year. Both will come with two different interchangeable back covers. New back covers with more colours and designs will also be available later this year – including purple, azure blue, pink, coral red, orange and dark silver. The Nokia 500 retails at EUR 150 before taxes and subsidies.
