Samsung Omnia W, a low-cost Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device Available in Singapore (soon)

Samsung Omnia W, the first smartphone from Samsung based on the new Windows Phone 7.5, code-name Mango, will be available in Singapore in Q4 2011 (which just means in a few weeks time) at a suggested retail price of SGD$498.

The key features of the Samsung Omnia W are as follows:

  • 3.7″ WVGA (800×480) SuperAMOLED display
  • 5MP AF rear camera with LED flash, VGA for video call
  • 1.4GHz CPU
  • 512MB ram + 8GB internal memory
  • Samsung AllShare, which provides seamless content transfer between the smartphone and other DLNA-enabled devices such as HDTV’s, monitors and digital cameras
  • Video Call is an easy-to-use app which allows ultra-fast vivid 3G video conversations
  • Mini Diary enables users to capture their experiences in multimedia formats and create their own personalized digital journal
  • An upgraded Samsung eBook client is also available from Samsung Zone
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest news and events with Now 2.0 app, which provides up-to-the minute current affairs, stock market and weather information
  • RSS Time allows RSS feeds for newspapers, magazines and blogs
  • Of course, all the goodness of Windows Phone 7.5 with all the social network integration, with Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook interleaved throughout the phone
