The WD TV Remote App, a new remote control app to improve the navigation experience for WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub users

I’ve been using the gmail app for the past few hours, and it feels very much like the online version. I find it a little unresponsive, where it required a sec or so to react when you want to view an email.

But the quick access to the various labels are very useful, together with the push notifications and the quick shortcuts to archive, delete, etc. However, they don’t have support for selecting the different email addresses to send out to that are connected to your one gmail account at the moment.

I like it, but it could have been more optimized. I was expecting the same features as everyone. It feels like a web app (if it isn’t already) packaged into an iPhone app.

SingTel deF!ND is the first intelligent mobile concierge app that integrates local information and allows bookings of services that Singaporeans find essential in their daily lives while on the move. The app also has a voice recognition capability for local food and ethnic restaurants.

With the voice recognition, SingTel deF!ND pretty much Siri (iPhone 4S) or Iris (Android) but specifically for Singapore’s context and accent, and runs on both iPhone (iOS 3 onwards) and Android (2.1 onwards).

M1 will offer the iPhone 4S in Singapore at midnight on 28 October , Friday, at its Paragon flagship store. Customers may also obtain iPhone 4S from 7:00am on 28 October at M1 retail shops at Bugis Junction, Change Alley, IMM, Tampines, Plaza Singapura and Westmall, as well as at selected exclusive dealer shops at Ang Mo Kio Hub, Sun Plaza, Jurong Point and Toa Payoh  Blk 190. iPhone 4S will also be available online at m1shop.com.sg.

iPhone 4S will be available starting at SGD$505 for the 16GB model, SGD$630 for the 32GB model and SGD$770 for the 64GB model. Customers can select from a range of four iPhone tariff plans, with monthly subscriptions starting from as low as $36.

Less than a day after SingTel announces their register for interest page, M1 has done the same. However, remember this is just to register for interest and not a confirmation of purchase.
