SingTel will offer the new iPad with a range of attractive data plans that will allow customers to connect to its fast Broadband On Mobile HSPA+ network with speeds of up to 21Mbps.
Customers can buy the new iPad at all SingTel retail shops and online at www.singtelshop.com/ipad from 12:01am Friday March 16. As an exclusive bonus for online customers, SingTel will be offering free home delivery as early as 3am Friday March 16.
The new iPad will also be available at all SingTel Shops islandwide from 8:30am Friday March 16, and at selected SingTel Exclusive Retailers during normal operating hours.

A quick search on Apple’s LTE broadband frequency band spectrum support on the new iPad shows the following:
Wi-Fi + 4G model: LTE (700, 2100 MHz); UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
Singapore’s LTE broadband frequency band spectrum from the various telcos:
M1: 1.8 GHz, 2.6 GHz frequency bands
SingTel: 2.6 GHz (for now) and 1.8 GHz (later) frequency bands
StarHub: 1.8 GHz (exploring) and 2.6 GHz (possibly) – Q2 of 2012
But don’t worry yet, IDA has mentioned in many papers, journals, and reports that they are exploring 700/800 MHz spectrum.

The PRADA Phone by LG 3.0 will be available at all three local carriers’ website – SingTel, M1, Starhub – from 7th January 2012. Fans who make an early purchase via the three local carriers will receive a limited edition PRADA-branded phone cradle worth SGD$228 -while stocks last.
The PRADA Phone by LG 3.0 will be available at SGD$1,088 without contract.
To cater to consumers who are keen to buy the phone without a contract, LG is also holding a one-day-only sale on 21st January, exclusively at its LG LIVE Store located at Marina Bay Sands. The purchasers at the one-day-only sale will also receive the limited edition PRADA cradle while stocks last.
First Thoughts:
SingTel Broadband on Mobile Prestige 75 will initially be available for USB dongle modems only. It will be enhanced to support LTE-enabled smartphones and tablets when they become more readily available in the market. Existing 21Mbps 3G Broadband on Mobile Premium 21 customers can upgrade to LTE with a top-up of $10 per month.
At launch, the service provides outdoor coverage in the central financial district and other areas that experience high data usage such as: Shenton Way, Orchard, City Hall, Marina Bay, River Valley, Tanglin, Newton, Novena, Kallang, Rochor, Outram, Tanjong Pagar, Jurong West, Boon Lay, Bukit Panjang, Bedok and Changi. (Please refer to Annex 1 for a map.) In-building coverage is available in major shopping malls such as Ngee Ann City, Plaza Singapura, Ang Mo Kio Hub, Tampines Mall, West Mall, Parkway Parade and Jurong IMM. Office buildings such as Republic Plaza and Temasek Tower are also covered.
The service falls back to SingTel’s 3G-based Premium 21 service when users roam outside the LTE coverage area.

SingTel deF!ND is the first intelligent mobile concierge app that integrates local information and allows bookings of services that Singaporeans find essential in their daily lives while on the move. The app also has a voice recognition capability for local food and ethnic restaurants.
With the voice recognition, SingTel deF!ND pretty much Siri (iPhone 4S) or Iris (Android) but specifically for Singapore’s context and accent, and runs on both iPhone (iOS 3 onwards) and Android (2.1 onwards).
